A pre-Greenbelt event. This is organised by the Greenbelt festival, with talks and discussion exloring this year’s theme of losing and finding paradise. I will be one of ten speakers. My talk is entitled The Occupy movement: a signpost to paradise?

This will be a debate on just war and pacifism, particularly from a Christian perspective. I will be putting the case for pacifism, while Chris Pines, head of Religious Studies at St Albans’ School, will be arguing for just war. A pilgrimage organised by supporters of the Occupy movement, including many Christians as well as people of other religion and no religion. I’ll be joining at least some of the walk.

LGBT Pride in London

The annual demonstration for, and celebration of, the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. I will be marching with Christians Together at Pride. It is open to all people who support equality, whatever their sexuality.
